GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) is the standard format used by Google Maps and other trip-planning services to display public transport schedules. This app converts your eligible routes, stops, departure times, and service calendar from Zaui into a validated, standards-compliant feed and refreshes it nightly.

Once set up, your schedules are maintained in Zaui as normal. Each night, Zaui builds a new feed from your current data, validates it, and publishes it to a stable address. If a nightly build fails, your previous valid feed stays in place so the address always returns working data.

To appear in a specific journey-planning service, the feed must be submitted and approved by that service separately. Installing this app creates and maintains a feed ready for that process. Each service controls its own review, acceptance, and display schedule. Zaui cannot guarantee acceptance or set a go-live date with any third-party application.

This integration is designed for operators running scheduled, point-to-point transport services with fixed stops and timetable-based departures. Activities must be active, published, and have an active timetable that overlaps the feed horizon. Every timetable stop must use an active pickup location with a valid name and coordinates, and have the required pickup or drop-off time set. Each included activity must also have a non-empty, unique Short Code. A GTFS readiness check in Channel Manager shows which activities are ready and flags any missing data before the next nightly build runs.
